H- Healthy. Try to bring some food like biscuits and eat them during in between of your classes. because some classes starts at 7am up to 2:30 without break.
And Lastly, Be Knowledgeable of everything happens in Letran. Be Involved!
Also, Last but not the least Whether you are not a Basketball fan BE SUPPORTIVE! Support all the Letran Knights Players by watching their games. because you will miss half of your college life if you don’t watch the games.

P.s. I’m planning to take photos of Fashionable Freshmen on June 4 and 5 During your Binyag Arriba and I will put them on my Blog next time.
Yesterday is the day that my OJT Practicum is finally over. BUt I want to start this blog from the start wherein I have known Chef’s Table. It was a Restaurant tour I guess that I have known Chef’s Table. I asked my brother if he know it and He said that his boss ate there before and said that their service is slow. So when I arrived there I was one of the first student to arrive there. some get lost on their way, because honestly Its hard to find it at first time. So they have their orientation and cooking demo and they serve us lunch there. I was asked by Our Chef instructor then if I want to have my OJT there. at first I refused due to I am waiting for Confirmation from another restaurant.

I’m really impress with their Interior. I remember my Greater Good x Jaime Zobel Tank Top here.

and they serve us these foods.

Waldorf Salad, Toasted Bread with Mushroom<not sure with the name>, Grilled Mahi with Mango Salsa, and Strawberry Souffle.
The only thing that I didn’t like on that food was the Grilled Mahi with Mango Salsa. And It was my first time to eat Salad that time.
When I don’t have the choice where to have my OJT, I don’t have a choice but to choose Chef’s Table. and I can say now that. “Chef’s Table might be my Last Choice but It was my Best Choice!”
The things that makes me don’t like Chef’s Table at first is getting skinhead. But I did it for the first time.
During my first few days, I am not that busy, but yet I will found something that I can do to help them.
I was placed in the Expo, wherein I will be the one who will garnish and give the food to the servers. You might thinks It is an easy job but it is not. You are liability if the food doesn’t taste good or whatsoever. I am with Chef JC at that station. He is the Executive Chef of Chef’s Table. I thought he is snobbish but he is not.

Would you believe that does who are working there is not a graduate of any Culinary courses. As My favorite movie “Ratatouille” ‘s Famous Line and I quote “I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau’s famous motto: Anyone can cook. But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. -Anton Ego”. Honestly, I learn more from them because they are more hands-on on teaching than my past Chef Instructor<no offense to them, but it is true.>

I was so nervous when I first met THE Chef Bruce Lim. But Then, I was so glad when Chef Bruce said that my platting was good. And He is really a nice Person.
More than the Learning, I found new Friends during my OJT actually a family. from our manager, Ms. MM, Chef JC, Chef Ejay Pogi, Kuya Michael, Kuya Utoy, Kuya Jerome, Kuya Justin, Kuya Tears and Kuya Raymond. Also to our co-OJT, Ludwig, Paula, Nicole, Melody, Ira, Leigh and Marguel.

We really enjoy each others company. Hope to meet you again soon.

Also I would like to Thank to Kuya Ian and Kuya KC of Chef’s Lab. Honestly, I didn’t enjoy my stay at Chef’s Lab. I don’t want to elaborate more about it. Chef’s Table is really the best. The Only thing I can say about some employees of Chef’s Lab is that They have to learn how to handle OJTs, If they commit mistake, I think the best way is to teach them what to do than make them cry by hurting their feelings. I know we just asking for help from your company but you don’t have the right to treat us that way. We are both working but the only thing that makes us different is you got paid for your work and we are not. Anyways, The damage has been done and it is over so I just let it be. Thanks also!
Love,
JM Ching

P.S. Thanks Ms. MM again for the Evaluation and Certificate.

Good evening guys! I just woke up hours ago. I’m just enjoying my free time before I start my On-the-Job Restaurant Practicum. BTW, I need to be skinhead! so I planned to do it tomorrow. No choice but to do it! Anyways, I chose “Size doesn’t Matter” as the title of my blog, not only because who I will be blogging because it is also for myself. Who cares If I’m fat. Fashion is not only for Thin or skinny. and I believe that its how you dress-up whether you are skinny of Fat. I will blog today about a recent friend of mine, Maverick “Mavs” Sandoval, an incoming 4th year Communication Arts Student. He is also one of the founder of The Letran Street Dapper. Honestly, at first I was so irritated with him. But when I had a chance to talk to him on facebook and hear him telling stories. I can’t help myself laughing and he is so really nice.
So here are his answers on my Undefined 2012 Top 12 Questions.

1.Define Your Style.
Style for me is something personal and a form of expression. So I must say that my style reflects who I am or my personality. It’s fun, quirky, colorful, and free as a bitch .

2. Whose style do you admire?
Lady Gaga.
Andre Chang. It’s very out of the box and for me it’s Lady Gaga-ish.
Rick Genest. He defines the true meaning of EXPRESSION.

3. Where do you draw fashion Inspiration from?
Little does she know, from my mom, my fashionable friends, and from all the preppy Filipino youth that we could see everywhere.

4. Favorite Brands?
To be honest, I don’t really mind about the brand or the price of the stuff that I wear. Basta it suits me, it looks fashionable or passes my tastes in clothing, I would go for it and eventually love it!
5. Where do you often shop for:
Basics: Thrift store, Topman, F21 men
Shoes: Caterpillar, vintage shops for loafers, Dr. Martens
Accessories: Kabutingtingan
Bags: Aldo
Formal wear: Van Heusen, M&S

6. The Items in your closet that you abused the most are:
- Harem pants
- Dr Martens shoes
- Loafers
- Printed socks
- Sweaters

7. Your Fashion Fantasy?
To have my own version of ATM machine that would produce all the fashionable stuff that I want and need FOR FREE!

8. Your weaknesses when it comes to fashion?
If the weaknesses that you mean are the things that I need to work on/improve when it comes to fashion, I think it would be designing clothes. I mean I could imagine a certain dress/ gown/suit that I would want to wear and have it as my masterpiece someday, but unfortunately I do not have artistic hands to sketch it or even tailor it. On the other hand, If the weaknesses that you mean are the things that I cannot resist when it comes to fashion, it would be SHOES SHOES SHOES! It’s like my heart always melt when I see a gorgeous pair of shoes.

9. Favorite Fashion Quote?
“You laugh at me because I look different, I laugh at you because you all look the same.”
10. What will you be buying Next?
Soon, Ramsey creepers from Dr. Martens and hopefully a pair of Jeremy Scott Wings shoes

11. Who do you thinks is the most fashionable guy/girl local and International?
Local
Well it’s guys: Tim Yap, Raymond Gutierrez, Karl Leuterio, Paul Jatayna, Andre chang.
Girls: Tricia Gosingtian, Divine Lee
International:
Guys: Rick Genest, Nicola Formichetti
Girls: Lady Gaga, Leighton Meester

12. I would shop Till I drop at…
Dr. Martens, Zara, Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, name all the fabulous designers!

Thanks so much Mavs for sharing!
Love,
JM Ching
P.s. getting my skinhead tomorrow! :()
